116, pages 231-235 (attached) is a blatant and outrageous plagiarism
) |6 o& q4 \4 T0 c5 e! W; y. X# mof a paper from my lab (also attached) published in Circulation in
2001.
The figure in the Xue et al paper was copied from my paper!  Much of
the text was also copied.
; x7 b* j' G" m$ f3 K* AI leave it to you to decide how to handle this situation but at the
8 E1 B: R* s7 h3 Tvery least I would expect the paper to be retracted, and the deans at
the authors' institutions contacted to report this blatant fraud.  I
am happy to say that in my five years as editor of the JCI I never
- w6 f* \$ c' h. V5 y1 n* fsaw such an outrageous incident!
